Thanks to All!

Thank you to all who supported this effort. You know who you are. This would never have been possible without each and every one of you. For that, we are very grateful!

One is better than none, but we need more. The next election is in 730 days and there is no time like the present to begin planning.

How sad to hear a teacher say they are tired of having to whisper. Hopefully this will bring some positive change. Much thanks to everyone!

They say it does not matter how you win or lose, it is how you play the game. I must say Doug Gilman and Steve Rockrohr are classy men who should be proud of how hard they fought for our kids and the "clean" race they ran.

There is a whisper of discontent. The voting was very close and equally spread. There is no majority, no consensus, and an overwhelming feeling of confusion. Parents, teachers, and students are confused. Fortunately, the majority of the district's teachers have weathered the confusion and continued to teach at a high level for the students. They deserve a lot of credit.

Can you please explain what you mean by confusion? Confusion over what? We're just not sure what you mean.

You are correct though, that the teachers deserve a lot of credit. It must be very difficult for them to work in the environment they are in while being treated the way they are.

We are hoping some positive change comes their way.

I'm curious to know what the "confusion" is about also. The only whisper of discontent that I've heard is that it wasn't all three (Gina, Steve and Doug) being voted to the board. Pleasantdale is filled with so many amazing teachers... it's a shame they don't have the support or respect they deserve from their administrators. I do hope this is the start of some great changes. Congrats to Gina!
