People fear change. The current administration is on course of change with curriculum and district testing. Good or bad, time will only tell. If test scores fall, will that mean anything?

People also fear unproven programs that are tried out on their children. Will you sit in the gym on 8th grade graduation night wondering if "change" was really best for your child? The district will NEVER be able to prove that SBG made an impact, because there will never be a control group. Test scores are already lower than some other feeder districts. How about if we find out what Western Springs is doing right? Oh wait, that would mean we would have to open ourselves up to real scrutiny and real discourse. By the way, the test scores in Douglas County are lower after SBG. Doesn't that matter to anyone pushing this program?

Lisa, Beth and Rick are not pushing SBG - at least not until after the election.
