We read with delight today the letter of support that Mark Fredisdorf Village of Willow Springs Trustee Annette Kaptur wrote endorsing the incumbents in the Pleasantdale School Board race.
How ironic that these are the same incumbents that would "not even pick up a phone" to offer the Village of Willow Springs support in putting sidewalks in along School Street and German Church Road in the Safe Routes to School Grant program. We blogged about their strange relationship in the past. ;) We should have been psychics!
We'll bet the Willow Springs tax payers will be happy to know that they footed the bill for the police presence at the PTA Candidates Forum in Burr Ridge for over two hours thanks to Willow Springs Trustee Annette Kaptur.
The Burr Ridge Police Department was asked to provide police presence but they declined to do so without being compensated. It's nice to know at least someone is looking out for their bottom line as well as their tax payers.
Instead, the Village of Willow Springs sent officers to sit in the Pleasant Dale Park District parking lot (located in Burr Ridge, mind you) and inside the PTA Candidates Forum for over two and a half hours at NO CHARGE!
No wonder the Village of Willow Springs is on the verge of bankruptcy.

You all should be happy annette kaptur endorsed the encumbents. With her track record of popularity in willow springs this will only help send votes the other way.

Basil. Obviously the supporters of this blog and ill spoken comments as included in this post will never experience that phenomenon! You always tend to drift toward the negative aspects of activities, rather than truly understanding the complexities of situations that confront officials, servants of the community and hired persons dedicated to the greater good of ALL people and not the selfish special interests of a few uneducated, uninformed and ill-willed.
Though dumpster-diving has become more popular lately, many people still cringe at the idea of scavenging for writers on this blog.
It's just another day of politics in the corrupt town of Willow Springs.
Why were the police there anyway?
I find it fascinating that people who have such contempt for this blog continue to come on here and comment. If you don't like what you see then don't come on here. It's a personal blog. If you are so confident in the school, village, park employees and board members, then shout it from the roof tops among your neighbors and friends. Why waste your time on here? To come on here and comment that people are uniformed, uneducated, and ill-willed is a little hypocritical, don't ya think?
Dear Anonymous,
Can you tell us what the positives of having an unnecessary police presence (at the expense of the taxpayers) at the school board candidates’ forum were? Who were they there to protect?
What is so complex about saying “Yes, we can help, but we have to charge you” just as the Burr Ridge Police Department did?
The voters of Willow Springs elected their village officials to manage the town and its resources for the good of ALL its residents, not for the special interests of themselves or that of their friends.
Think about the absurdity of your comments, and then look in the mirror if you want to see what uninformed and ill-willed looks like.

If anyone has ever had the opportunity to interact with Ms. Kaptur either professionally or personally should consider them self very unlucky. She definitely is a piece of work. My personal experience with her while going thru some issues with the village was NOT pleasant considering she is a ELECTED, PAID town official for the town of Willow Springs. She definitely has no class!
