Goodbye and Good Luck!
Goodbye and good luck to Ms. Acanfora, Ms. Kostal, Mr. Kusnik, Mr. Eldridge, Mrs. Podbelski and Mrs. Wentzlaff! Thank you for your dedication to the students of Pleasantdale School. We wish you all well in the future, as you continue on your journey through life!
Edited to Mr. Kusnik to the list of teachers leaving Pleasantdale. It's a revolving door over at the middle school. Most of our new teachers don't stay for very long. Sadly, it appears to be a direct reflection on the leadership in our district.

I'm greatly concerned about all the teachers leaving the Middle School. It is VERY sad. Many are outstanding teachers. Is the administration or the school board looking at this retention issue? However, if I had to work for Mrs. Pokorny, I would leave too. It seems as though she treats the teachers like students, not peers. The middle school should be called UNPleasantdale based on its leader.
And the list is growing! Rumor has it that there will me more names to add!
Does anyone pay attention to this trend? It costs the tax payers an awful lot of money to recruit and train new teachers.
If Pleasantdale is so great, why is it so hard to retain teachers?
